diode laser appleton

Diode Laser

The diode laser for dentistry is a precise, semiconductor tool that emits light in the near-infrared spectrum. It works by targeting pigmented soft tissue, delivering focused energy via a fiber optic cable to cut, vaporize, and sterilize the treatment area simultaneously. This mechanism ensures bloodless incisions, reduced pain, and faster healing. The diode laser is highly versatile, commonly used for procedures like gingivectomy, periodontal decontamination, and aesthetic gum recontouring. It's an essential, minimally invasive technology for any modern dental practice.

Digital X-Rays at appleton dental office

Digital X-Rays

We can now safely and effectively capture digital x-rays that provide clear internal images that are readily available for our dentist to diagnose treatment needs, review with patients, and provide quick treatment recommendations.

Digital x-rays increase safety for patients because they emit less radiation than film x-rays, and our environment because we don't need chemicals to develop them.

CBCT Cone Beam Technology

CBCT Cone Beam Technology

Our CBCT cone beam lets us capture comprehensive 3-D images of your teeth, jawbone, joints, and sinuses.

These images help us more effectively plan complex treatment procedures, such as oral surgeries, root canal treatments, and dental implant procedures.

Panoramic X-Ray

Panoramic X-Ray

A panoramic x-ray provides a view of your entire mouth in one image, allowing us to see your teeth, jawbone, joints, and sinuses internally.

This image can be helpful when planning root canal treatment, tooth extraction, or analyzing wisdom teeth. It is also beneficial for monitoring bone levels in patients with dentures and for dental implant placement analysis.

woman getting Nitrous Oxide Sedation in appleton dental office

Nitrous Oxide Sedation

Have you ever felt anxious or fearful about visiting the dentist? Maybe the fear even kept you from getting the treatment you needed.

At Fox Valley Dental Center, we understand that visiting the dentist isn't necessarily comfortable for everyone, and that's why we offer dental sedation in Appleton with nitrous oxide. This breathable gas "takes the edge off" during dental appointments, helps you feel relaxed and at ease, and allows you to get the dental treatment you need without worry, fear, or stress.

Best of all, since there are no lingering side effects, you can drive after treatment with nitrous oxide and continue your normal activities.

Televisions in Treatment Rooms

Televisions in Treatment Rooms

Televisions in our treatment rooms allow us to efficiently and comfortably share pertinent information with our patients, such as x-rays, color photos, treatment records, and scheduling.

You may also be able to watch your favorite show or movie as a pleasant distraction during lengthier treatment procedures.

Rotary Endodontics

Rotary Endodontics

Electric rotary hand tools make root canal treatment more effective and efficient. Since the tools are flexible, unlike stainless steel hand tools used in the past, they can swiftly and comfortably reach the inner canals of your tooth.

Because they're electric, it makes the procedure quicker, meaning less time in the dental chair for patients.

Intraoral Camera

Intraoral Camera

They say, "A picture is worth a thousand words," and that's true when diagnosing dental treatment! The intraoral camera provides a view of your teeth inside your mouth, delivering full-color pictures that allow you to see precisely what your Appleton dentist sees.

Color pictures are effective in helping you understand your treatment needs and make educated decisions about the procedures that are best for your smile.
